時計の針そのものからもう一度考える事を試み、金属の塊そのものが時を刻むようなイメージから生まれた「TO」。その発表から約3年。「TO automatic」は、時計職人の技によって作り込まれた、力強く彫刻的な造形と重量感を供え誕生しました。

● "TO" series, one of ISSEY MIYAKE watch projects, is adding a new model "TO automatic"

"TO" had been born from an aim to create new wave for design, which led Tokujin to rethink about hands, the most basic of a watch.

It aimed to capture the beauty of the material itself as if it was sculpted from a lump of metal.
Three years from its presentation, "TO automatic" was finally created with being characterized by its substantial and sculptural designs. It is also crafted with traditional watchmaking skill.
