Allen Center is going through a transformation as the cultural hub of Houston.
Sculptural work, ‘Prismatic Cloud’, by Tokujin Yoshioka, is installed at the Allen Center as the Art Project.
Prismatic Cloud is a sculptural work made of light, transcending concepts of shape by giving figure to all human senses utilizing immaterial elements.
This gigantic sculpture of light (15m x 8m x 5m) floating in the air, generates transparent layers that allow light to permeate by stacking approximately 20,000 colorless prism rods in a 450㎡ space, creating a formation reminiscent of a cloud.
