The TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA_FLAME exhibition looked at the light of flame and revealed “Glass Torch” and “Glass Cauldron” designed for the ceremony of the JAPAN GAMES SAGA 2024 (formerly the National Sports Festival). The torch and cauldron are made of transparent glass, a material that has never been used before for such a purpose.

Glass Torch

The world’s first torch designed for the relay made of transparent glass. When lighted, the glass transparency makes the flame appear floating in the air.

Glass Cauldron

The world’s first cauldron made of a transparent block of glass. This monument of flame, expressing light in a solid form, creates a tornado of fire and becomes a luminous sculpture of flame.
