    We only have 3 more months left until the closing of the exhibition.

    We are pleased to announce that Tokujin presented “Blossom Stool" - the first collaboration with LOUIS VUITTON - in Italy for the first time during Milano Design Week.

    A symbolic stool inspired by the Louis Vuitton monogram of petals - this stool is designed with natural structure which represents the motion of blooming petals transformed from a bud.

    We are delighted to announce that "TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA x LG:S.F_Senses of the Future" won the HIGHEST PRIZE of Milano Design Award 2017.

    Milano Design Award is the one and only prize that celebrates the best exhibition at Milano Design Week and presents to the best out of 40 nominees selected from more than 1300 exhibitors.

    Tokujin Yoshioka is especially renowned for his poetic designs based on groundbreaking experimental techniques as well as for his ability to reflect the beauty of nature and the complexity of human senses in the mediums of design, art and architecture. This exhibition was hold in collaboration with LG to celebrate their 70th anniversary. It showcased a large-scale light installation with Tokujin Yoshioka's new works "S.F chair” and "Wall of the Sun”, a vast mural of lighting, under the theme of SF (sci-fi).

    We are pleased to announce that Tokujin designed the new ISSEY MIYAKE flagship store in Milan, and now it is opened.

    The 190 year-old authentic and historical building was restored and futuristic aluminum come together to express the passage of time. It expresses the contrast between history and future showing the many layers of time in the texture of the interior walls juxtaposed with futuristic materials. The floating sculptures of round aluminum at the entrance delivers a sense of translucency and specialize colors and reflects the space.

    This exhibition presents a large-scale light installation with the new work "S.F chair” under the theme of SF (sci-fi). This ingenious installation combines the state of the technology of LG with the unique artistic vision of Tokujin Yoshioka. It projects a poetic phenomenon that can only be described as a tapestry of light: a truly futuristic dimension which confounds and transcends the human senses.

    The exhibition of the new artwork "FOUNTAIN - Glass Table" will be held at the first ISSEY MIYAKE flagship store, which is also designed by Tokujin Yoshioka. The new work "FOUNTAIN - Glass Table" (Glas Italia) was created when a piece of flat glass is transformed into a three dimensional form with the technique of glass craftsmen in Murano Island, Italy. The glasses sparkle like natural fountains, and fill the whole exhibition space with shimmers.

    The exhibition, TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA_SPECTRUM will be held at Shiseido Gallery, Ginza, Tokyo from 13th January 2017.

    In this solo exhibition, Tokujin Yoshioka will present his new installation, “Spectrum”. This groundbreaking experience offers an almost mystical journey through light, with seemingly infinite rainbow colors drawn from nature, science and technology projected to flood the entire space.

  • U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy visited the "KOU-AN Glass Tea House"

    U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy recently visited the "KOU-AN Glass Tea House" exhibition.

    Mrs. Caroline Kennedy has always been deeply interested in Japanese culture. In the spring sunlight shines peacefully at the stage, the ambassador was served tea by Miss. Makiko SEN, a daughter of SEN Soshitsu, the head of Urasenke. In the space filled with natural light, which comes through glasses, she experienced brightly rainbow colored "Flower of light " emerged by the effect of prisms.

  • Water Block at the United States Embassy official residence

    "Water Block" has been displayed at the United States Embassy official residence with the kindness of the United States Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy.
    The United States Embassy official residence is a modern western architecture where the historical meeting of Emperor Hirohito and MacArthur commander in chief of allied forces took place in 1945.
    "Water Block" is permanently exhibited at Musée d'Orsay, Paris.
